Exercise!

7 Benefits to Exercising

Need an emotional lift? Or need to blow off some steam after a stressful day? A gym session or brisk 30-minute walk can help. Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed.
You may also feel better about your appearance and yourself when you exercise regularly, which can boost your confidence and improve your self-esteem.

Natural Remedies

Natural Dry Skin Remedies

The above link has many suggestions, but the most simple: Make sure that you’re drinking enough water during the day.  Rule of thumb, drink half your weight in ounces throughout the day.

Lower Back Disk Herniation

There are numerous ways to treat lower back disk herniations. The most common method in our Glenview Chiropractic practice and one of the most non-invasive ways is through McKenzie exercises.

This position forces disk material forward- away from spinal nerves.

Neck spasms

Severe neck pain is often the result of spasms of the neck musculature. This occurs form either sudden trauma to the neck or maintaining awkward head positions for too long a period of time. As a long time chiropractor in Glenview, it's been our experience that neck spasms, with treatment, subside within three to eight days. Rest, ice and adjustments to the cervical spine can speed up healing times and get you back on the road to recovery in no time.

Chest Pain

As a chiropractor in Glenview for close to 20 years now, I do see my fair share of patients complaining of sharp pains in the sternum that often times is caused by inflammation of the muscles between the ribs (making it difficult to take deep breaths/cough/sneeze), a broken rib (pretty rare) or a misalignment of the vertebra(e) and a rib. This last scenario can be easily corrected with a chiropractic adjustment.
